Clinical Expertise

Dr. Anne Cusack is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in evidence-based treatments for suicidal ideation, self-harm, emotion dysregulation, trauma, borderline personality disorder, eating disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. She provides individual, group, couples, and family therapy, as well as coaching related to eating concerns and crisis intervention. Dr. Cusack has extensive expertise in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), DBT-prolonged exposure (DBT-PE), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and exposure and response prevention (EX/RP).

Teaching

Dr. Cusack has a robust background in supervising and training graduate students, post-masters clinicians, and postdoctoral fellows. She has held leadership roles at UC San Diego, managing clinical care policies and interdisciplinary treatment teams. Dr. Cusack is a trainer and consultant for Behavioral Tech, LLC (BTECH) the training company founded by Dr. Marsha Linehan for the dissemination of DBT.


Research

Dr. Cusack has contributed to research on eating disorders, emotional regulation, and borderline personality disorder. She has presented her findings at numerous conferences and integrates research into her clinical practice to enhance treatment outcomes.
