DBT Intensive Training at UCLA Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital

DBT Intensive Training at UCLA Resnick Hospital

This year, Youth & Family Institute’s Founder and Clinical Director, Dr. Marcus Rodriguez, co-led a 4-day DBT intensive training at UCLA Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital. The event brought together psychotherapists, nurses, and occupational therapists eager to strengthen their skills in evidence-based care.

Dr. Rodriguez expressed deep gratitude to James Rosser and Kyle Bullock for the opportunity to partner with their outstanding teams.

“I was struck by how deeply their staff cares—not only for their patients, but also for one another. They are such a dedicated and fun group. I feel grateful to play even a small role in supporting their mission.”

Collaboration and Teamwork

The training was also a chance to collaborate with brilliant co-trainers:

Teaching alongside these colleagues was both an honor and a joy. It reinforced the importance of teamwork in advancing DBT intensive training and making care accessible across settings.
